Block Factory

The cement block factory has been in operation for almost three years. Prior to this; just before Kolbe took over, the Prison had a Cube plant which was semi-functional.

Prison labor was utilized to make the blocks, which Government was using in its efforts to provide reasonable housing to Belizeans.  It soon became non-functional because the machine itself required numerous repairs and expensive parts.  Kolbe replaced it with a proper block factory and competent supervisor.  Blocks made are being used to expand the prisons infrastructure.

Currently the block factory has the capacity of producing on average 1,000 blocks per day.
