The Auditorium at the Belize Central Prison began construction in February 2009, and its purpose is to be able to comfortably accommodate up to 500 people for a variety of programs, including motivational talks, displays, graduations and other ceremonies.Having this facility available will greatly increase the opportunity for inmates to be involved in programs since it’s able to capture a large audience and also make the visits of motivational guest speakers more effective.
The Auditorium is still under construction, but it has already been used to host several of Kolbe's activities. These include the ARC graduations, opening ceremony for Kolbe Week (2009), Kolbe's Christmas activity (2009), and inspirational and motivational talks by a variety of international artists.
